Meet the Staff of Wee Discover

Wee Discover is an owner-operated, state licensed childcare and preschool offering full-time and part-time infant care, toddler care and preschool programs. We also offer summer camp and seasonal programs for school age children. Wee Discover provides children with individualized, tender care in a safe and clean environment. We are very proud of our educated, caring staff. Discover us!

Rhonda and Jerry Grubb

Rhonda and Jerry Grubb are the owners and operators of Wee Discover. They are on-site every day to ensure a safe, positive experience for your child. Rhonda first began working with children in 1992. She started providing care out of their home in 1994 where she stayed until they were able to custom build the Wee Discover facility in 1998.

Jerry worked as a licensed paramedic for 22 years before becoming Wee Discover’s chief financial officer.

Mary Ann Morris -
4 Year Old Preschool Teacher

Mary Ann Morris first began working as a 4 year old preschool teacher at Wee Discover in March, 2001. She earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Oakland Community College. She has worked in many areas of child care including a Program Director and Teacher. She has been recognized in the publication of “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”, 2006-2007. Mary Ann first began working with young children in 1989 and continues to spend her days enriching the lives of young children.

Correen Hansen –
3 and 4 Year Old Preschool Teacher

Correen Hansen first started at Wee Discover in August, 2004. Since then she has worked in many capacities. She has worked with infants and toddlers, has supervised the front desk and now is a 3 and 4 year old preschool teacher; a position she has been in since 2006. Correen is currently continuing her education in Early Childhood Education.

Amy Holmes –
3 Year Olds Teacher

Amy Holmes began working as a lead teacher with our 3 year olds in the spring of 2009 and started her career in childcare in 2005. She began her pursuit in education working on an elementary education degree at Taylor University in Indiana; she has taken early childhood education courses at OCC, and continues furthering her education by taking courses with the Oakland County Child Care Council.

Amy is married and has a young son that she adores immensely. In her free time she enjoys music, singing, dancing, and enjoys being involved with her church’s children’s youth and music ministries.

Melissa Wells –
2 to 3 Year Old Teacher

Melissa Wells has been our 2-3 year old teacher since August, 1999 (that’s a long time!). She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is working towards a degree in Elementary Education. In her free time Melissa enjoys being a new Aunt.

Suzanne Poggione –
Toddler Room Teacher

Suzanne Poggione has been at Wee Discover since March, 2005. She is our Toddler Room teacher. Suzanne holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and she is currently working on a double major in Early Childhood Education as well as a degree in Sign Language. Suzanne is a certified 1st aid and CPR instructor as well as a “Baby Signs” instructor and she brings this knowledge to the classroom.

Katy Gay –
Infant Care

Katherine Gay has been working in child care since 2001. She received a degree in Early Childhood Development from Oakland Community College in December 2008. Katherine has been at Wee Discover since November 2008. In her spare time she loves dance, reading and movies.

Meghan Parr - Mobile Infants Teacher

Meghan started as a teacher at Wee Discover working with older infants in September 2009. She began her career with young children in 2005. She is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood Education and looks forward to graduating in January.

Meghan loves to play and interact with the babies, helping them learn as they explore the new world around themselves. When asked, Meghan says, "I feel blessed to have the best job in the world."
