Classroom Description Our class is held in a large room & divided into several learning centers: housekeeping, blocks, puppetry, large motor play, table-top activities, sand/water play, music, science, art and language & reading. The outdoor play area is equipped w/a large climber, trikes and a basketball hoop. Restrooms are located right off of the room for easy accessibility. Our front entrance is kept locked at all times for your child's safety. About Our Teachers Mary Ann Morris has been with Wee Discover for just over 5 years. Mary Ann earned an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education at Oakland Community College. She is also a former daycare Center Director, and has 14 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Center Philosophy At Wee Discover we believe in the development of the whole child. We believe that a balance of teacher directed activities and child directed activities are conducive to a child's growth, socially, emotionally, physically and academically. With our warm sensitive staff your child will experience a flexible environment that will allow him/her to grow in these areas. Classrooms are arranged in a manner that allows children to move freely between activities. It is of utmost importance that your child is a happy, well rounded individual and comfortable in our care. It is equally as important that you as a parent are comfortable as well.
